GoTheBot is the brand under which this software is published. Stripe Money Detective is a product of GoTheBot. These terms govern your use of Stripe Money Detective, a macOS desktop application. By purchasing, installing or continuing to use the application, you agree to these terms.

1. The product

Stripe Money Detective is a macOS desktop application that analyzes CSV files exported from your own Stripe Dashboard. It identifies unusual payment and refund patterns and generates investigation reports on your computer.

The application reads only the CSV file you choose to open. It does not connect to your Stripe account, does not use Stripe API keys, and cannot create, modify, refund or cancel anything in your Stripe account.

2. License

A purchase grants you a lifetime license for this product. The license unlocks the complete investigation results inside the application. The license key issued to you is intended for your own use and should not be shared or published.

3. No financial advice

The application reports patterns found in the data you provide. It does not provide financial, legal, accounting or tax advice, and its output should not be treated as a substitute for professional review. You are responsible for decisions you make based on the reports.

4. Your responsibilities

• You must have the right to use and analyze the data you import.
• You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential.
• You may not use the application for unlawful purposes, fraud, spam, infringement of intellectual property rights, or interference with the security or integrity of any system or service.
• You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the application or license keys.

5. Merchant of record and payments

Purchases of Stripe Money Detective are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record for the purchase. As merchant of record, Paddle is responsible for order processing, payment collection, billing, tax handling, and the handling of customer payments and refunds for purchases made through its checkout.

We do not receive or store your card details. The commercial terms of your purchase, including payment terms, taxes, cancellations and refunds, are set out in Paddle's buyer terms and in our Refund Policy. Paddle's name appears on the payment statement for your purchase.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the application, or invalidate a license key, where there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of these terms. Where a purchase is refunded, the associated license key is deactivated.

7. Warranty and liability

The application is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. There is no guarantee that the application will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses arising from decisions made using the reports. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version.

9. Not affiliated with Stripe

Stripe is a trademark of Stripe, Inc. GoTheBot and Stripe Money Detective are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Stripe, Inc.

10. Seller identity

Stripe Money Detective is published under the GoTheBot brand. Legal entity and registered address details are not published on this site; they can be requested using the contact details below.
